Yorme says lockdown violators to quarantine for 14 days

Republika

ANY person who will violate the ‘strict lockdowns’ that are slated to be implemented in barangays which registered high cases of Covid[p1] -19 cases will be rounded up and taken to the quarantine facility nearest to them where they will be made to stay for 14 days.

This was the stern warning issued by Manila Mayor Isko Moreno, who also said that barangays with ten or more Covid cases will now be subjected to lockdowns, during which only authorized persons outside of residence (APOR) will be allowed to go out.

“Lahat ng lalabas na hindi kasali sa pinapayagan, ilalagay po namin kayo sa quarantine facility ng 14 days kasi you are exposing others to danger. So, wag kayo lalabas. Kaya nga inagahan ko na ang abiso to give you the chance to buy food,” Moreno said.

The mayor, though, assured that he will also be sending the residents in the areas concerned food that would be enough to last them during the lockdown.

“Those who will violate will face the consequences… instead na tatlong araw lang kayo dapat contained, you will be submitted to 14 days quarantine in our quarantine facility,” he reiterated.

Moreno directed Bagay to enforce an ‘automatic lockdown’ of areas where there is a notable increase in Covid cases, in view of the recent surge in the number of persons who have contracted the coronavirus. ANDI GARCIA
