STARTING out as a teenage lifestyle host via ‘Candies’ in 2005 and emerging as an effective, sought-after support and contravida in many Kapuso teleseryes, Beauty Queen actress Winwyn Marquez finally clinches her first starring role.
Starting March 22, she’s now undergoing lock-in shooting at Gapan, Nueva Ecija, essaying the role of a ‘mysterious’ nurse Nelia.
Nelia, a contemporary movie about a curious woman that will surely intrigue, frighten and make audiences scream,” is the maiden motion picture venture A and Q Productions Film, Inc.
The newest film company in Philippine tinsel town, A and Q Productions Film, Inc., envisioned to produce Filipino quality films most especially at this time of the pandemic to help the country’s movie-making industry. This is according to movie producer Atty. Melanie Honey Quiño, who herself, penned the story of Nelia.
Winwyn admits having just gone home for a week from her lock-in taping for a TV project over Kapuso station during the zoom presscon. She’s happy to have been receiving projects even at this time of the pandemic.
For someone who loves to be known as an accomplished individual wearing many hats: versatile actress, beauty queen, teacher, military officer, dutiful daughter and loving sister, among many others, Wyn is giving her all in this project.
“Big or small projects, movies or TV, I always give my best, 110 percent. I am overwhelmed with Nelia and I really hope to give justice to this new role,” she said.
The best of luck to you, Wyn!
