Over three-fourths of employees from Wilcon Depot Inc. are now willing to be vaccinated.
This developed as the home improvement and construction supply retailer expects the arrival of its procured vaccines against Covid-19 next month.
The company said it supports the government’s call for workers to get vaccinated.
“Seventy-six percent of our employees signified interest in the vaccine. They want to be vaccinated ,” Rosemarie Bosch Ong, Wilcon Depot senior executive vice president said.
Ong added that more than one percent of their employees have been fully vaccinated.
The official attributed their workers’ confidence on the vaccines to the company’s successful information campaign on the importance of public protection through the inoculation program.
She said the 50,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccines they procured are expected to arrive by the third week of July, a portion of which the company intends to donate to local government units (LGUs) especially in areas where its branches are located.
