CEBU CITY – Public health authorities here have indefinitely closed down a shoe store for alleged violation of existing health protocols imposed by City Hall meant to curb the spread of Covid19.
Reports said the business establishment, identified as “JS Footwear” located in Barangay Lahug, was shuttered by the police as hundreds of persons showed up on the premises for its Nov. 11 “Singles Day” sale without observing social distancing, and many weren’t wearing masks.
To top this off, it was discovered that the store owners could not produce any of the required permits to operate from the Department of Trade and Industry and City Hall.
Tabloids said the store had generated a lot of attention after it offered a bargain sale of three pairs of shoes for only P998.
