The crowd-attracting Sinulog Festival, held in honor of Sto. Niño, will push through on January 17, 2021 but strictly with no audience.
Cebu City Vice Mayor Michael Rama made the announcement as the event is sought-after by Sto. Niño’s faithful in Cebu as well as other provinces and even abroad
Due to the Covid19 pandemic, only contingents from various towns, cities and other provinces will participate in the celebration. It will take place in the open parking space of SM Seaside at South Road Properties (SRP) instead of the Cebu City Sports Center (CCSC).
“This is our challenge now. We need to adapt because we are still in pandemic so no audience is allowed,” Rama said.
The event can be viewed by the public virtually as it will be live-streamed.
