Former Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Corazon “Dinky” Soliman died last week.
The exact cause of Soliman’s demise wasn’t immediately known, but informed sources said she got Covid19 in early August.
Ms. Soliman had served as DSWD chief in the administration of former President Gloria Arroyo, and also former President Noynoy Aquino.
A known anti-graft crusader, Soliman was among several Cabinet secretaries and heads of agencies who resigned en masse in 2005 over the “Hello Garci” election controversy.
