World No. 3 golfer Justin Thomas of the United States has been ejected by clothing company Ralph Lauren (owners of the popular “Polo” brand) from its stable of endorsers.
Thomas, who won the PGA Championship in 2017, was unceremoniously dropped by Ralph Lauren after he was overheard muttering an anti-gay slur after missing a putt during a recent tournament in Hawaii.
Ralph Lauren said it was “disheartened” with Thomas’ use of language. The firm has been supporting him with a lucrative sponsorship deal since 2013.
