A Quezon City policeman was nabbed by colleagues while in possession of an allegedly stolen high-end SUV.
Reports said the policeman, identified as Sgt. Danilo Pacurib of the Payatas police station, was driving a Hyundai Santa Fe along Commonwealth Avenue last Oct. 16 when he was flagged down by the PNP Highway Patrol Group for bearing improvised (or illegal) license plates.
B/Gen. Alexander Tagum, HPG chief, said the vehicle being driven by Pacurib was allegedly stolen at gunpoint in 2016.
Pacurib has been charged with violating R.A. 10883 (Anti-Carnapping Law), R.A. 4136 (Land Transportation and Traffic Code) and P.D. 1612 (Anti-Fencing Law).
