PNP signs P1B arms deal with Israel

The Philippines has entered into a P1.5-billion weapons deal with Israel, in behalf of the Philippine National Police (PNP).


The PNP is getting 13,457 assault rifles, 20 light machine guns, as well as assorted hardware for intelligence requirements.


PNP chief Debold Sinas said the arms deal was facilitated by the Israeli defense ministry’s Foreign Defense Assistance and Defense Export Organization.
