PNB top exec dies

A ranking official of the Lucio Tan-led Philippine National Bank (PNB) passed away recently.

Dying of an undisclosed cause is PNB’s chief financial officer (CFO) and executive vice president (EVP) Nelson Reyes.


“Our thoughts and prayers are with his family,” PNB said, The bank asked the public for prayers for Reyes and his family.


The bank has appointed VP Aidell Gregorio, its controller and deputy CFO, as the officer-in-charge of the financial management sector.


Reyes was PNB’s CFO since January 1, 2015.


He graduated from the De La Salle University (DLSU) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce, majoring in Accounting. He was a certified public accountant.


Before his stint in PNB, he was CFO of HSBC Philippines for more than 10 years and was a director for HSBC Savings Bank Philippines and HSBC Insurance Brokers Philippines.
