Popular food and beverage brand Mister Donut is putting forward a three-month trial period for anybody interested in a franchise at a bargain price of only P100,000.
Applicants who want to undertake the “Business Trial Package” need only pay the fee if they turn a profit; half of the amount is also refundable.
The price already covers rental of assets, basic small wares, face shield, team member uniform, crates cabinet, mobilization fee, product deposit and the incidental expense bond.
Needless to say, this amount is much cheaper than the regular for Mister Donut franchisees, who pay anywhere from P285,000 for indoor kiosks to P2.4 million for dine-in stores.
Applicants must also already have an available site measuring at least 4 square meters. The 90-day trial will then commence to see if they make a profit.
Franchise management head Cherryl Carino said that the test site could be turned into a regular store, but only if it produces an actual profit of P10,000 per month and show a potential return on investments within 24 months.
Should the site be viable, the franchisee must then pay the franchise fee and invest in a regular package appropriate for the store location. If results are less favorable, the store will be closed. The franchisee has the choice to opt out or propose a different location and run a test.
Mister Donut has more than 500 stores across the country and is heavily reliant on its franchise model as 94% of its network is composed of franchises.
