Actress Nadine Lustre is reportedly being sued by her talent manager for alleged breach of contract, it was disclosed recently.
In an official statement released to media that came out in the tabloid Bandera, Viva Artists Agency claimed Ms. Lustre had violated her contract by locking them out from talks she was conducting with various advertisers, promoters and other third parties “in utter disregard of the exclusivity of her contract with Viva.”
Viva said Lustre’s management contract with them expires in 2029. But her lawyer says the actress is now “self-managed.”
Lustre’s camp has welcomed the filing of the lawsuit before the Quezon City Regional Trial Court as it will give them the opportunity to discuss the “bitter truth” behind her decision to part ways with Viva which she has known professionally since 2009.
Her advisers said it is Nadine’s prerogative to make a living without Viva getting a percentage fee which it doesn’t deserve.
