Following the shift to the more relaxed general community quarantine (GCQ), the truck ban in Metro Manila resumed last Monday, May 17, according to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority.
From Monday to Sunday, trucks would be prohibited on major thoroughfares in the metro from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. and from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Meanwhile, along EDSA, trucks are completely banned from Magallanes interchange in Makati City all the way to North Avenue in Quezon City daily. The permitted exceptions are those that transport perishables and agricultural produce.
The city of Makati also announced that they have resumed their modified number coding system, which runs only on weekdays, except holidays and exempts cars with two or more persons.
However, the number coding system for the rest of Metro Manila remains suspended until further notice.
