The top cop in Malate (Manila) has been yanked from his coveted post for alleged neglect of duty.
Brig. Gen. Leo Francisco, according to reports, recently ordered the relief of Lt. Col. Robert Sales after a surprise inspection at the Manila Police District Station 9.
During said surprise inspection last weekend, Francisco found that there were only 15 policemen on duty, which is way below the designated personnel complement.
Sales was on-the-spot stripped of his assignment after he could not give a proper account of the whereabouts his subordinates, which is considered a no-no for a station commander.
Francisco appointed Lt. Col. Cristito Acohon as the replacement for Sales.
