Lucban PNP chief fired for sexual harassment

Republika

The guy obviously picked the wrong person to victimize.

Because he couldn’t contain his libido, the police chief of Lucban, Quezon is in hot water after being slapped with a sexual harassment complaint by a fellow member of the Philippine National Police (PNP).

According to the Quezon Police Provincial Office (QPPO) officials, P/Maj. Rizaldy Merene has been relieved of his post following a sexual harassment incident of a policewoman, whose name was withheld.

The QPPO told mediamen that the incident occurred last March 25 in Tayabas City, but did not elaborate.

The case was filed before the City Prosecutor’s Office in Tayabas City, even as the suspect was re-assigned to the Quezon Provincial Holding and Accounting Section.

Col. Ericson Dulag, Quezon provincial PNP chief, has reportedly described Merene’s act as totally unbecoming of a “responsible, respected and disciplined police officer.”
