PNP operatives last week seized some 374 kilograms of shabu, with a street value of about P2.5 billion (per estimate of the Dangerous Drugs Board of P6.8 million per kilogram), in a house in General Trias, Cavite.
Reports said PNP officers pounced on a certain “Mangotara” after he sold P1 million worth of banned drugs to undercover agents in Barangay Navarro.
The suspect is currently detained in Camp Crame for violation of the Dangerous Drugs Act or RA 9165.
This brings to a whopping P7.6 billion the amount of shabu confiscated by the government’s anti-narcotics agents within the last two weeks.
Previous to this, authorities also confiscated another 756 kilograms of shabu valued at some P5.1 billion during a similar buy-bust in Marilao, Bulacan.
