Former Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) administrator and retired Philippine National Police (PNP) general Reynaldo Berroya passed away last week.
The news was made public via a social media post from Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Arthur Tugade.
“It is with profound sadness and sorrow that we bid adieu to one of the most courageous and dedicated public servants and defenders of the Republic, Gen. Reynaldo Berroya (Ret.), Administrator of the Light Rail Transport Authority” the transport chief announced.
Prior to serving as LRTA administrator in 2017, Berroya held the reigns of DOTr undersecretary and assistant secretary, as well as general manager of the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) in 2013.
