Dingdong, Alden, Arjo lead this year’s awardees at FDCP’s 5th Film Ambassadors’ Night

THE Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) has named the 60 honorees and special awardees for this year’s 5th Film Ambassadors’ Night (FAN) as well as the performers for the online event that will take place on February 28.


Dingdong Dantes, Alden Richards and Arjo Atayde lead this year’s awardees. Dantes is cited for his ASIAN STAR PRIZE for “Descendants of the Sun” (GMA Network, Inc.) at Seoul International Drama Awards in South Korea while Atayde is honored for his BEST ACTOR award for “Bagman” (ABS-CBN/IWant Series) at the 3rd Asian Academy Creative Awards in Singapore.


Meanwhile, Richards is recognized for his ASIAN STAR PRIZE at Seoul International Drama Awards.


It’s an ensemble award for CHERIE GIL, ALFRED VARGAS, ANGEL AQUINO, RONWALDO MARTIN for BEST PERFORMANCE AWARD for “Kaputol”at the 4th Innuendo International Film Festival in Milan, Italy.


LOVI POE was hailed Best Actress Feature Film for “Latay (Battered Husband)” together with Allen Dizon as Best Actor at the International Film Festival Manhattan.


Young actor ELIJAH CANLAS is cited for his BEST ACTOR for “Kalel, 15” at the 17th Asian Film Festival in Rome, Italy.

Likewise, for fellow newbie LOUISE ABUEL for his BEST ACTOR award for “Edward” at the 18th Dhaka International Film Festival, in Bangladesh.
Meanwhile, CRISTINE REYES is cited for her BEST ACTRESS for “UnTrue” at the 40th Fantasporto – Oporto International Film Festival in Portugal.

FAN is an annual event launched by the FDCP in 2017 that recognizes Filipino filmmakers, actors, and films of various formats that gained recognitions from established international film festivals and award-giving bodies in the past year.
