Police operatives caught a delivery man in possession of one kilo of shabu worth P7 million in Barangay Ermita, Cebu City on Saturday, March 6 during a buy-bust operation.
Arrested was Carlo Magno Tude, 36, by policemen of the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) of the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO).
According to investigators, Tude worked as delivery man of a courier company and allegedly used his job to hide his illegal drug activities.
The suspect admitted that his shabu supplier was from Allan Ramas Badajos, who is currently detained at the Cebu City Jail for drug charges. In a buy-bust operation in 2016, Badajos was nabbed.
Tude claimed that someone would bring illegal drugs to his house. He said he was asked to deliver illegal drugs and was paid P5,000 per delivery.
Tude reportedly sold as much as P40 million worth of shabu a week as he agreed to sell 50 grams of the illegal drugs worth P340,000 to a poseur-buyer, said Police Major Jonathan Taneo, chief of CDEU.
