Cavite bans videoke 24/7

Republika

The Cavite provincial government has just prohibited videoke, karaoke and similar loud audio devices to be used at any time during the day.

Instead, they may only be used from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Reportedly, governor Jonvic Remulla ordered the ban in order to allow students to concentrate on their online classes.

So far, the Cavite police has admonished over 200 residents regarding its use.

According to authorities, those caught flouting the ordinance are subject to pay a P500 fine on the second offense and a P1,000 fine on the third.

Violators also risk imprisonment.
