The Caloocan City police chief has been sacked over the escape of 13 detainees last October.
The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) said Col. Dario Menor was promptly relieved from his post as the Caloocan City police office was made into a laughing stock in social media for his obvious failure in doing his job.
NCRPO officials did not say exactly what charges Menor could be facing for this serious breach of trust.
It was reported that the prisoners had managed to flee the custodial facility through a small hole they had bored in the cell wall supposedly using a concrete nail.
So far, the NCRPO said only four of the 13 escapees remain at-large.
