Sen. Bong Revilla returns to TV in ‘Agimat ng Agila.’ GMA network has announced this in December 2020.

Revilla would be starring as a forest ranger on the new Kapuso TV series, Agimat ng Agila, which was originally set for a 2020 premiere.

But for many reasons, with the current pandemic and the death of his father last year, the TV series, most likely would have a March 2021 airing.
Officers of the Philippine Movie Press Club had the privilege to see the trailer which is still undergoing post editing for effects, music, etc.

Revilla was the club’s inducting officer in the recent oathtaking event for its 2021 set of officers.

Strictly following the health protocols, especially since the actor-turned-politician has had COVID-19 experience the past year, only the 15 officers plus Sen. Bong’s staff of four were present.

The actor expressed gratefulness for the club for having honored his craft with several awards when he was still active in show business.

“… ngunit ang higit na pinagpapasalamat ko ay ang pagkilalang ibinigay ng PMPC kay Daddy, former Senator Ramon Revilla Sr., noong 2019. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for never failing to recognize talent and artistry in our industry,” he added.

Revilla Jr. must be referring to the club’s tribute to movie icons in line with the Centennial Celebration of Philippine Cinema in 2019. Despite his medical condition at that time, the elder Revilla honored the event with his attendance.

Sen. Bong also congratulated the club for continuing its support to the industry and for having thrived and adapted during this pandemic.

The Ang Panday actor won a Senate seat in the 2019 elections even after 4 years of detention for plunder charges, which he was acquitted of. ‘Agimat’ will be his first TV project since then.
