Malacanang has appointed Rear Admiral Adeluis Bordado as the 30th chief of the Philippine Navy.
He stepped up upon the mandatory retirement of his predecessor, Flag Officer in Command Vice Admiral Giovanni Carlo Bacordo.
Bordado, who comes from Camarines Sur, is a member of the Philippine Military Academy’s “Maringal” Class of 1988 where he graduated No. 4.
Bordado was previously the Navy’s vice-commander.
He is married to Dr. Ma. Ruth Bordado, a psychiatrist, with an only child, Adeluis Jr.
