The five suspects in the killing of a lawyer Baby Maria Concepcion Landero-Ole in Danao City, Cebu on Thursday, Dec. 17 were already identified by police.
Maj. Maria Theresa Macatangay, Danao City police chief, said these people were known through closed-circuit television cameras on two motorcycles and in a four-wheel vehicle that tailed the pickup of the victim.
According to witnesses, motorcycle-riding assailants shot Ole several times along the highway in Barangay Tabok.
“The victim and the assailants were traveling in the same direction. It appeared the assailants had been tailing her,” Macatangay said.
Probers said that the victim was the wife of ex-convict Juanito Ole, who was killed on Tuesday, May 26 in Barangay Poblacion, Danao City.
Juanito had just been released from the National Bilibid Prison (NBP) when he was killed while buying a banana cue.
Macatangay confirmed that Juanito was convicted for illegal drugs.
She said they were looking into the possibility that the killing of the lady lawyer was job-related.
