CAMP MARCELO A. ADDURU, Tuguegarao City – Harrison Paggao, owner of a junk shop in Barangay Nungnungan 2, Cauayan City, Isabela, called the police for assistance on April 13 upon learning that the scraps of metal he bought were 40 unexploded vintage bombs.

Police Lt. Oliver Salamero, team leader of the Provincial Explosives and Ordnance Division and Canine Unit (PECU) Isabela-CECU Cauayan City, responded and brought the explosives to PECU, Isabela.

The vintage bombs are dangerous if not properly handled by an ordnance expert.

The explosives will be brought to Capas, Tarlac and detonated at the blasting area there, said Police Lt. Col. Andree Abella, Police Regional Office 2 Cagayan Valley.
