Following the easing of restrictions in the market, four cement companies started ramping up production to help the government reboot the economy.
Eagle Cement Corporation, Republic Cement, Cemex Holdings Philippines Inc. and Holcim Philippines Inc. are now ready to serve the market as construction activities resumed with the reopening of the economy after over two months of lockdown.
Eagle Cement Corp. resumed partial commercial operations in its factory in Bulacan while Republic Cement resumed production in its five operating sites in Rizal, Bulacan, Batangas, Iligan and Danao.
Holcim Philippines Inc. started its operations in La Union, Manila, Bulacan , Batangas and Davao while their plant in Lugait, Misamis Oriental continued their operation during the ECQ to serve their customers in Northern Mindanao.
Cemex already started its operations at its Solid Cement plant in Antipolo City.
All four cement firms assure that they are under strict compliance with health and safety requirements from the Department of Health and Department of Public Works and Highways and that they are implementing health and safety protocols to protect both their employees and clients.
