Top-ranked tennis player Rafael Nadal last week won the men’s singles crown of the 2020 French Open in Roland Garros, all the while wearing a wristwatch costing $1 million.
Throughout the years on the circuit, Nadal is noted to be one of the rare pros that competes with a watch.
In trashing Serbian Novak Djokovic in just three sets – en route to tying Roger Federer’s record of 20 career Grand Slam titles – Nadal also took home a cash prize totaling some $2 million.
Nadal is a longtime endorser of Richard Mille watches.
Djokovic reportedly promotes Seiko, with the “Novak Djokovic Astron GPS Solar,” but he takes off the timepiece during games.
Other celebrities associated with the Richard Mille brand are Grammy-winning musician Pharrell Williams, actress Margot Robbie, two-time Masters champion Bubba Watson and soccer star Didier Drogba.
